OOC RULES. - Once you make an account, post in the Introduction thread so we know you're alive. Then, you have five days to make a character before you are deleted, unless you let us know otherwise.
- One account per member.
- You can have up to four characters. If you are active, you may be rewarded with more, or you can buy another one.
- Do not format your username, other than making it all caps or all lowercase. For instance, &&pIKAch00 luvEH is not an acceptable name, but PIKACHU LOVER pikachu lover or the simple Pikachu Lover is. No numbers in usernames, either; it's not necessary.
- Do not steal from us or from other sites. Simple as that.
- Be respectful to all members of this site. This means no out of character fighting, spamming, or flaming.
- Do not advertise except in the advertisement board. If you are a member and have your own site, put it in your Home Page in your profile, not in your signature.
- Absolutely no chatspeak! The only time you can use chatspeak is in the c-box.
- Keep the signature size down; it cannot stretch the board in any way. You will be notified if it's too big. Likewise, if an image in a post is too big, just put a link to it.
- Try to be active; get on and post at least once a week. Your posting may be in the OOC section if you're waiting for a reply or something. If you will be gone for a while, post in the Absences board. You will have your account deleted if you haven't posted in a month.

IC RULES. - Your character must be accepted before you roleplay them.
- Do not take control of another person's character without their permission.
- Do not make your character invincible and perfect.
- Keep a posting order if there are more than two roleplayers in a thread. If you have to wait more than a week for someone, you are allowed to skip over them once (then wait another week to skip again, but by that point they are probably totally inactive). Likewise, if you have to leave for a while, indicate in the absences board if they can go on without you.
- At least two good paragraphs per post; more than that is really encouraged. In your post, you can describe so much to reach this minimum - the environment, your character's appearance, thoughts, and actions, not to mention dialogue.
- Use proper spelling and grammar. There is a spell check for this reason. If you refuse to check your posts when we ask, you will probably be banned from the site.
- When formatting, no center align posts. You can have different colors as long as they look good with the skin. Also, don't have everything lowercase; this is a pet peeve of mine. Spoken words must have "quotations" and thoughts should be italic.
- Indicate which character you are posting with somehow, whether there is a post heading, or a certain color indicated in your signature. Post in past tense; we encourage third person (he did this, she did this) but if you must post in first, that is allowed.
- You may swear all you want in character only.
- Relationships are allowed on here, sure, just don't instantly fall in love. However, no breeding/having offspring as of yet. PM me if a character wants to have offspring. We can work something out then. While we're at it, no sex. Your Pokemon can nuzzle and hug and - can they kiss? - away, but keep things clean.
- No "roleplaying words" such as orbs for eyes or auds for ears.
- There are absolutely no humans in this world, and no human electronics and such. Think back to the PMD games to get a feel for what this world is like.
- Just to kind of go with the whole PMD world theme, Pokemon can have simplistic houses. Also, they eat berries, leaves, stuff like that. I like the idea of them eating each other, but it would not fly in this kind of environment, since you are allowed almost all species.
- Liquid time is allowed, but with a limit. Your character can only be in two threads at one time. They can be in an additional one if one of those two threads has gone inactive.
- Indicate if the thread is finished so it can be moved to archives.

CHARACTER RULES. - You may have four characters.
- Only one of your characters can be a team leader.
- As of now, you can only have one character in each team.
- We'd like you to keep a list of what characters you have, whether it's a link to the character tracker or a list in your signature. This just makes it easier for everyone.
- Your character can be of any sexuality.
- Do not create any of the banned Pokemon. There is a thread listing them. Before you ask, yes, you cannot have made-up or legendary Pokemon. Yet.
- No perfect characters. You can easily have a nice, helpful character with flaws. You can also have a powerful-seeming character if they have their weaknesses.
- No extreme mutations or changes. Your Vulpix cannot have wings and horns. These may be bought in the store. You can have lesser changes, such as a stripe on your Rapidash's nose, or oversized fangs on a Lucario. Keep this markings like they would be on that Pokemon. A completely solid-colored Pokemon, for example, would not have an elaborate twirly pattern on them.
- You are allowed Shinies, or just completely odd-colored characters, like an orange Treecko. They must comply with the rule above. I don't put much of a limit on this because I don't feel that it will hurt anyone, but if I start seeing a lot of evil black Pokemon or something similar, I will have to.
- Jewerly is allowed as long as it would exist in this world. Your Pokemon probably would not have gold/diamond earrings, but they could have a rope necklace and gemstone pendant, etc.
- No hybrid Pokemon. This doesn't mean that in your character's history they have to be a line of the same species; the kind of Pokemon is determined by the female's species, like in the games.
- Be creative with names; no English human names, and no Japanese names either, while I'm at it. Nor I do not want to see Ash the Pikachu or Naruto the Ninetales. I don't want to see a thousand Shadow the [badass Pokemon here], either. You can use a word and be creative, even if you have to put in a foreign language, and you can use mythological names too.
- No oddly-typed characters. So no, you cannot have a Fire-type Pikachu or Ice-type Lucario. This may be a purchase in the shop.

FIGHTING RULES. - The outcome of a fight is determined by the participants. However, the fight will be moderated in case a rule is broken, and you can also ask for it to be judged if that's your style.
- Assume all Pokemon are at the same level.
- Type advantages/disadvantages are in effect. Keep this in mind while battling. If a character decides to throw a super-effective attack on you, keep in mind that you're probably screwed. However, don't repeatedly try to hit an enemy with a super-powerful attack such as Overheat or Hyper Beam.
- Pokemon may use the attacks they know (see the Attacks and Evolution thread), but they are not limited to that; they can push and shove and bite if they have teeth and whatnot. They may also happen to have a rock or stick to throw at their enemy. Be creative!
- Do not use abilities in fights. This is disallowed because people will try to use it to their advantage; they will claim that they are more powerful due to Sunny Day and whatnot.
- No auto-hitting. For example, instead of "The Charizard burned her with his Flamethrower," post something along the lines of "The Charizard aimed a breath of fire at her" and the other player decides that they are hit.
- Your character is not invincible! They cannot dodge every attack or remained unaffected by every move. Every character slips up at one point and gets hurt. If you have Protect or something similar, do not use it twice in a row.
- You can be graphic. This is not a fluffy roleplaying site; it's going to get rough every once in a while. However, if this kind of thing upsets you, when you are in a fight let the other person know. Some people don't like their Pokemon to bleed from Slash, while others like the gore.
- Do not kill another person's character without permission.
